Incomplete 5 and unbarred A's in obverse legend. Similar to Bentley 424, described as Extremely Rare. The unbarred A's in GRATIA variety is only seen in the dates 1841, 1842 and 1858.
The 1858 sovereign itself is considered rare. Rated as Rare by Marsh in his book "The Gold Sovereign" it has a low mintage figure of just 803,234. Only the 1839, 1841 and 1874 shield sovereigns have a lower mintage.
